Of course, you somehow managed to fail to post this on the Roleplaying Discussion board

Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
Okay. I want to do something. I'm not sure what... maybe I'm a little sure. I may write little episodic tales if I stop being lazy. I've already written [what I take to be] a neat opening scene.
A thief teams up with a mage to pull off a magnificent heist! Also, spellcheck apparently doesn't recognise heist as a word, so I checked my spelling and I'm right. Stupid spellcheck. Spellcheck also doesn't recognise spellcheck as a word.
Anywaaaaay (all the a's make this unrecognisable as a word as well), what I need from you, the lovely audience, is something awesome worth stealing. Not some generic treasure, mind you. Something a mage would team up with a thief to steal for reasons more than just money. But not a ridiculously powerful magical artifact either. That's overdone. You see my creative block here?

*snaps fingers*
A CORPSE.
*snaps fingers again*
WAIT. THE PRESIDENT'S CORPSE.
The mage wants to reanimate a corpse for whatever and so enlists the help of a thief! Or something similar.

Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
Zip... ... ... You... are...
... ... ... BRILLIANT!
Thank you so much, actually! That gave me a great idea. The mage lies to the thief by telling him he's after a precious treasure worth a lot of money, and that they'll split the profits. Only, in a surprise twist, the treasure turns out to be... a corpse! Or, you know, a living body in suspended animation.
Now more questions... it could be the mage's sister perhaps? Too Simon and River Tam... Hmmmmmm...
Edit: Aha! Magic is illegal unless supervised by the government! The mage is an illegal mage, as is his father who is held captive by the Deft Hands, an organization of ninja-like mage-hunters that work for the government to hunt for illegal mages. The mage's father was deemed "too dangerous to be free, but too useful to be killed."
At this point I'm just thinking out loud, basically.

Make it a grandmother, and I think you're onto something.
I mean, seriously, no one ever has grandmothers in these stories.
Ehhh, I'm crazy. Don't listen to me.
But corpse is cool

A magician ought to have a symbol to represent him, wouldn't you agree?
So there's Artur's emblem. Wait one second... what happens when you look at the same image upside down? Hmm...
I wonder if Artur is a member of the Iluminati?

Ahm...guys?
I'm not trying to accuse...well, accuse is a pretty strong word. Ahm...I...Ooh, what was I going to say? Ahm...
Maybe...you...could, err...Ahm...
Guys? I really enjoy your roleplay and all, but you haven't forgotten Moze and I have you? *cowers*
Right. So I'm just going to...duck exit out through the back, okay?
*pokes head back in* But...it's not like I'm forcing you or anything, if you don't really want us...ahm...yeah. You know what? Nevermind...I've got...ahm...webcomics. Yeah, webcomics I need to get to. So...through the back?

Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
No cowering, Zip, your point is perfectly valid and I sincerely apologize if you feel left out. I'm certainly not feeling accused or anything defensive like that. In fact, I sympathize, and you have nothing to apologize for. You are absolutely in the right here. It's not nice of us to focus completely on Skybound, and ignore Clueless, if that's what you are referring to.
For me, the reason it is difficult for me to post on Clueless, is because I feel a lot of pressure to keep things moving. I'm trying to encourage everyone to post what they want, when they want! Please go ahead and develop plots and characters and my characters will react accordingly. I can run this murder plot, but I can't take charge of everything and it's just difficult for me to make every post a huge, info-dumping one. I can do one of those this evening to get some things stabilized, but the point of a roleplay is collaboration, and it's okay for you all to take things in a different direction. These sorts of things don't really have a planned end. In Willow, the stories hardly ended up going the absolute way someone wanted them to.
Is that at all helpful? If not, tell me why, and we'll reach an understanding eventually, I hope.

For you Zip, I will post in Clueless before finishing my Skybound post.
But first: dinner. Long day + boring train ride = hungry!

Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
MONSTER POST FOR CLUELESS *is excited* Villains!
Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
Just so you all know, Nayaby and I have decided to remove Skybound for the time being. It is not really appropriate for the roleplay section of these forums, we have realized, and apologize for that.
Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
Are you writing a monster post for Clueless? I guess I'll wait for it so we're on the same page then. It's always upsetting when two people post right after each other, and then the second person has to make massive edits.
On another note, my mom had surprised me with sushi take-out! Nom nom dinner was good nom!

Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
I am so envious of people who like sushi. I've tried it. Multiple times. My mouth refuses to enjoy it. It's maddening. Everyone is like 'it is so good!' and I am like AGH I WISH I LIKED IT.
It can't be genetics. My parents love sushi. Something is obviously wrong with my taste buds.
Fairly monstery. It should go up by 10:30, though. I have deadlines for all the various things I need to do tonight...and Clueless gets first priority!

Aww...you guys. :3
You really don't have to do this. I'll probably just squander your writing gift.

Re: Redpoemage's Board for General Roleplaying Disscussion
Is it the taste, or the texture? A lot of people dislike sushi for the texture. Or, they 'decide' they won't like it because it contains raw fish, and then they don't like it when they finally try it.
I'm an adventurous sort. I will eat *anything*. Well, not pork. Or horses. Or a carnivore. That's all for religious reasons though. Well, I wouldn't eat a horse regardless...
But I'm still an adventurous sort! I love trying new foods! I like Chinese moon cakes with the egg yolks in them, and French escargot (I was sceptical, but it was delicious!), and curried brain. Although, I've had the last one as several different recipes and I only actually liked one.
But I can't stand couscous. It's my kryptonite. Why don't I like couscous? It's so grainy and icky and blarg...
Yes, blarg is the technical term.

I adore you for that picture. I'm madly in love with that picture. I am an avid reader of Hyperbole and a Half, the blog from whence it comes. And now, that picture is going to become my desktop background.
It is, unfortunately, the texture. I am, however, not fond of the taste of nori.
I have been told that I may like the salmon sushi, but I have not gotten around to trying it yet. I would need a heavy dose of peer pressure to get me to do it, displeased as I have been with my former forays into sushi-tasting.
I wouldn't eat a horse. Ergh. I would, however, love to try alligator or snake sometime.
I like couscous. But only if it's made well. There is too much sticky, clumpy, badly made and badly seasoned couscous in the world. I can't even make it right, I have to get it at restaurants for it to taste good...

For some reason, this yogurt geared towards women trying to lose weight is about 90% of my diet.
My friends are quite concerned for some reason.
