You'll get better. Wizards are squishy, so you can't just jump into the fray at melee distance. Use Fire Bats to eradicate groups. Kiting is useful to round up a whole bunch of bloops, and wipe them out with Fire Bats.

I really love Fire Bats.

The game would be better if I could run with WASD, and the mouse was solely for attacking though. It would make dodging incoming spells and projectiles a lot easier.

What's difficult is the waiting for energy. I can keep playing Gauntlets, which only cost 2 energy each, but I've gotten all the Gauntlet items of particular use to me so far. But in order to move on to the next island, I need 12 energy, which is going to take AGES! *wait wait wait*

Yeah..when I need energy I go do homework...and then when I have energy I play the game...rinse and repeat...

It's a good system. I just have to figure out where the rest of my life fits in. 0.o

I LOVE:

How wizards can attack two (+!) foes at the same time. Not only will your energy balls go on a continuous barrage towards a selected foe, you can also hit other foes with your long range stuff like fire bats AT THE SAME TIME. Practically without missing a beat! I just completed the gauntlets of protect the caravan, it was easy by standing back and just hitting all the foes long-range with the default energy balls and fire bats...

Gah! I gave in! And it is sooooo much fun. Monk's AoE spells are damn strong! <3 I just run around, aggroing all the creeps them BOOM! all dead, <3. Thought it seems my auto attacks are so weak compared to my spells. Pew pew claws pew pew!

As a question, what sort of armor do you prefer as a Wizard, Nayaby? I kinda tend toward things that up my speed, actually, and all the other attributes are kinda behind that a bit in terms of priority. Is that a good idea? What do you all think?

Yeah, defense and sorcery for me. Speed is nice, but the other two are more important for me.

I prefer survivability to damage, so I've been wearing Forest Gear with more +Armour and only moderate +Sorcery. I also prefer wands to staves. While wands are weaker, a faster attack rate makes dodging incoming projectiles while still dealing damage easier.

I think the only thing I'm wearing that isn't for any advantage is the Hermit Rags....... Those are just because they make me absurdly happy.

The Crescent Wand is amazing. Oddly enough, it's better than the Blooming Wand you get from a gauntlet on Mudfalls Island... shouldn't later gear be stronger? Ah well.

I finished Sassafrass before moving on to Mudfalls, but only because I'm a completionist like that. And I cheated slightly by starting Mudfalls... And now I'm done Mudfalls! Just have gauntlets to do now...

Jazz, when I asked you for help defending the fox you showed up bald and naked... Have you been feeling okay recently?

I've also decided to screencap all the complete outfits I acquire, in case I ever have to sell them for inventory space. So far, Forest and Woodsman!

LOL!! No. The bloops got to me, stole my clothes and their queen ate my hair before I destroyed her.. I haven't been the same since... I need a wig!

Mudfalls is killing me with that 12 energy thing. I refuse to use rubies to revive, so it's wait, wait, wait. =/ I, too, am going to complete Sassafrass before moving on. I got so far behind in the few days I wasn't able to come on because Cubby was sick.
