Pyro Penguin will make dealing with golems a bajillion times easier. It's brilliant! The penguin appears, does a dance to some techno music on a fiery dancefloor, then poofs away!

Unfortunately, the new level cap is only 22 xP Not high enough! There are level 27 enemies I've had to fight!

Don't be sad. I forgot to change out of my party garb and had to change into my battle garb in the middle of a level 5 gauntlet while surrounded by a Magice and several sentient Snowballs.

I then proceeded, only to have my skull bashed in by a yeti. It hurt.

Edit: O_O My heart is still pumping. This was crazy xP On Glaciella, the quest Icy Flats, where you have to defend Boxy's caravan is super-tough. I just finished gauntlet two! Just barely! The Snowflake Wand is the reward for this gauntlet, and it is amazing!

Crescent Moon Rod: Very worth it!

The Snowflake Wand is better, but you have to complete Icy Flats to get it. You'll want the Crescent Moon Rod to hold you over, because Icy Flats is agreed by all to be the toughest level in the game.

I've completed 3/5 gauntlets on it! *pant pant*

Two hours between being able to call allies is killer!

There's also another Epic Wand given as a possible quest reward in Yeti Hideout, another insanely difficult level. And you may not even get it, since it's a quest reward.

Winter Warlock Hat is a rare reward for completing Wintery Meadows, and is a really powerful hat for wizards. I haven't seen a single other person with it though, since it's a rare reward.

Basically, get the Crescent Moon Rod with the following line of thinking: I need this slightly better wand to have a greater chance of success at getting that extremely better wand!

Alright. I just have a load of money and figure I ought to upgrade as the mudfalls gauntlet items aren't really good for me. Any other suggestions for armor?

In the shop? I'd say Arctic Garb and Winter Witch Gloves are worth getting.

The Purple Walopus hat is... interesting. It's not a bad investment if you have 15k to spare and don't mind an octopus on your head. I almost bought it, but I was extremely fortunate to get the Winter Warlock Hat during a quest. I was happy not to have bought it xD

Those are shop items, but now I'll cover quest items. I'd recommend the Woodsman Hat if you don't have a better one. Mousekateer Hat is an epic hat that drops from killing Mousekateers, and it's really good for upping your critical in exchange for sorcery. Although, I'd say solid DPS is more important than crit. You could choose between Mushroom Cap Shield or Cracked Red Orb as your shield depending on whether or not you want a little more survivability or sorcery.

Aaaand, yeah, that's all I can think of. Hope I was at least somewhat of a help.

P.S. Congratulations! Now off to the frozen wastes of Glaciella with you!

Edit: Totally forgot about Leaf Shield! That's definitely the shield to use if you have it! I don't have it yet...

I shall look into arctic garb and winter witch gloves. I mostly am just trying to not buy something that will shortly be not needed by quest items. And it's very helpful!

If it helps you decide, I'm still using Arctic Garb, and I'm done the story of Glaciella. Just working on crazy-hard gauntlets!

But if you prefer survivability for sorcery, then I suppose you're decently geared. I've found that for a wizard, a strong offence is the best defence though. Also running away. Running away is not cowardly. It's smart!

I may switch to arctic garb. I'm trying to maintain a balance between sorcery and survivability, but tending towards sorcery more now.

I run away ALL THE TIME. Got me through the last gauntlets on Mudfalls. xD

I really wish energy would recharge faster... I can only ever do 2 or 3 quests on Mudfalls before running so low that I have to do Gauntlets instead... and I'm too impatient to let it fill to 12, so I just do the gauntlets until the next day. =/

I don't start gauntlets until I've finished the story. It actually goes by really quickly... and then you have to wait for the new island!

Not done gauntlets yet though, super crazy evil difficult. I'm starting to doubt whether I'll even be able to finish until the level cap goes up :/

Edit: I got my Glacial Pants! Third time really is the charm! Still miffed about only have 9 health potions left xP

Please send Health Potions guys! I don't really need leafy items anymore, my Minyeti Shield is pro.

I've developed a new strategy. The first two levels of Glaciella were fairly simple to deal with, so I think I might go adventure by adventure, but attempt as many gauntlets as I can before moving on. For leveling up purposes. I'm still only level nineteen, so I feel a tad underleveled for some of the stuff coming up.
