I have questions for you, maybe you have questions for me, put them here please?

Since this is a very group-oriented form, with me just managing the layout and etc. I'd like to know what YOU all want. Do you have group ideas? Would you like me to enable a chat box for the whole forum? Reputation points? Let me know! It's very much up to you!

A chat box would be certainly be useful I think. Reputation points are post ranks, right? Like 1000 posts got you the Floramancer rank on the ancient Twin Skies forums?

As for the reputation points, I don't think they're necessary; not like we're gonna be spamming on this thing. Is there an option for epithets instead? So we can be "Areada the Great Admin" or "Nayaby the Creepy Bird?"

I think reputation is actually where people vote other people's posts up and down, but I'm not positive. Epithets sounds fantastic, I will investigate into that immediately.

This avatar is a temporary default one until I decide to find a better one somewhere! And there is nothing creepy about birdies! Chirp chirp chirp! Cacaaaaw, cacaaaaaw! Skreeeeeeeeee!

Custom epithets would be cooler than post ranks, I agree. I want to be "Le Rogue en Rouge" and see how many people mess it up

As for voting posts up and down, I'm not against it, but I don't see much practicality in the idea.

Agreed. If only we could have something more like 'awesome points' where we award them to people when they put words together in ways that are humorous and awesome.

I want a nice bunny avatar. Anyone good at drawing here? We could use some custom banners for the layout and all...

I can do very abstract shapes and inanimate objects on indesign. I attempted a quill and ink pot earlier, but I think I shall stick with mugs of tea for now... I can draw a fantastic mug of tea.

Yes, and maybe not just short stories, but other short things we've written that aren't finished stories, but the beginnings of one? If that makes sense... And perhaps another one where we can post kind of draft like things, or outlines, or whatever for critique on story ideas/plots/etc? Just an idea...

The only thing is, and this is just heresay, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of this, but I have heard, here and there on the internet, to be careful of what you post, story-wise, because of copyright issues if such a person who posted such stories ever got them published. Does anyone know more about that?

Hmm. Good to know I guess. I'll only post original pieces meant to be shared with you guys then. Probably backstories on my roleplaying characters, and such.

Like I said, I can't vouch for it's accuracy, only I got warned once, by a well-meaning person on another forum when I posted a heavily detailed plotline for critical analysis.

This reminds me, I have something to type up and share with you all. For those of you who were interested in Willow.

It needed a little more than two or three roleplayers, and it needed a little more commitment, and even if we'd been able to pick things up later, we didn't get the chance.

But I do want to post a summary of some plotline things. I want to clear up what was going on with Bonnie, especially, and the whole curse, and where Ria was going...

A couple of different answers, but apparently it's fine if it's a 'password protected forum', and the issue is not copyright, but 'first publication rights' (so if you put up a whole story, and want to publish it then, and the publisher asks if it's been published before, and you say it has been on a forum, he may or may not publish it). But I'm not planning on putting up complete novels, or finished ideas. Or to publish my short stories. I don't know, though. It's confusing. I'm not sure about idea copyright issues.
