Re: Off Topic Generalities
Ah, so it was football. Knowledge attained! Mission accomplished!
You see, my primary social circle consists of several rather interesting folks I met online after migrating from Neopets to a newfangled gaming company I had high hopes for. Those hopes were not met, but I got something way better than Twin Skies out of it!
I also have several good friends from high school whom I may get to see every couple months or so if I'm lucky.
Also a bloody volleyball named Wilson.
WIIIIILLSOOOOOOOOON!

Re: Off Topic Generalities
Hrm...social circle.
It's complicated.
But in general, everyone I know and hang out with, whether I really really like them or not, is pretty geeky, rambunctious, slap-happy, and beautifully deep thinking.
EDIT: Also, most of my 'in real life' friends like Shakespeare. We can all recite ridiculous amounts of his plays.
EDIT: I don't actually consider my greatest friends to necessarily be part of a certain social circle...my deep relationships are separate from social environment in many ways, which is why it is difficult to explain and is complicated...I don't really consider hanging out with just my greatest friends to be a social event.

Re: Off Topic Generalities
I can see how that would work. The reason my best friends are all in the same social circle is because my only good friend at the time was fortunate enough to go on an exchange trip with them and when he came back I ended up hanging out with them.

Re: Off Topic Generalities
Yeah. A lot of it is because I have so many just generally good friends, and they're such a huge part of my life, when they're around, that I have to take an extra step with my really great friends. They might be in the social circle as well, but I try to make sure that our actual relationship isn't defined by the social circle, does that make sense?
Re: Off Topic Generalities
Mhhhhhhmmmmmm.
I woke up this mornooninghton(it's an amalgamation* of morning and afternoon with a couple of extra letters there. The "h," though was pure cosmetic effect) on the floor(albeit, I usually sleep here) covered in bits of Sunchips, and general soreness.
I think...I think mistakes were made last night. I can go to the library tomorrow.
*Oh ten points to Zippuff! I used this correctly!

Just learned Regigigas is in Black/White 2. Finally!
My body is regi.
Edit: Ehehe, Neo Plasma is so much cooler than old Team Plasma. Team Plasma has weird future-knight costumes, but Neo Plasma wears awesome ninja gear!

I live. Just so you all know.
I'm crazy busy, though. But I might have time to do stuff next week, maybe get in some posts on Clueless.

Congrats Elfie!
I have good news too! I got accepted into Legal Studies at UOIT! Sure, it's nowhere near as awesome as Journalism, but I could still get into journalism from it at some point... The point is: I'm going back to school next year! For a while I thought I may not be able to, given my late applications and all that... I decided way too late that I couldn't stand another year in my current school.

Did you end up being married off to a large primate by a superhero Zip?
You see, now you have to tell us the story, or why mention having a story at all?

Re: Off Topic Generalities
Eww. Ewww. Ewww. I'm disgusted at my tendency at not doing things. *cough*
Sorry guys.
Anyway(s), the past few days I've mostly just been ruining birthday parties and reading. Well...birthday party. I was asked to give a speech at my grandpa's 75th at the last minute, and it ended up being really half-hearted. I don't really have that whole command of the room thing.
I mean, I got a few laughs, but most of them were due to my incredible awkwardness(I don't use that word lightly, but that actually did seem to describe the situation) and general lack of public speaking skills.
...I took a Newscasting class for the past three years. Ohh my. I'm fine enough around most folks, though, just not the fam-fam. Bleeehh.
ALSO. Reading.
A few weeks I went to the *ack* public library. I suppose the place is fine, but it just somehow makes me feel all...aotj;ioqdnhdewq3.
...That's not a word.
Anyway(s), I checked out a few books:
Jeniffer Government by Max Barry.
Sort of like 1984, except where there's an oppressive and totalitarian government running everything, two extremely large conglomerates of corporations have extreme power to the point where your employment is your life. Well...not really, but still. One example is that you change your last name to the company. Ergo, I would be Zip Unemployment Pants.
...Not a good example.
The Police and the NRA are two publicly traded security firms, and the government only has the power to stop crimes before they happen, and in order to seek justice, must find the budget for it.
I found it lovely and hilarious, but y'know.
...You don't know? Welll...bleelch. ((Blee-El-Chuh))
---
Company, another novel by my favorite Australian, Max Barry.
Stephen Jones(called Jones) just got a new job at a company called Zephyr Holdings. At first, it seems normal enough, but then it occurs to him: He doesn't even know what the company does. At first, he thought they sold training packages, but that's only their department. And they sell training packages to other departments. Then he notices some other oddities. The beautiful receptionist is paid twice as much as anyone else, and is hardly seen at her job. Also, no one has ever laid eyes on the CEO.
...And no, the receptionist is not the CEO.
I want to say more, but I'm getting a tad tired.
SPOILERS(SORTOF)The company isn't an actual company at all, but an experiment in management techniques. And...that's...really important. ENDSPOILERS
---
...And one remarkably fantastic John Green book called Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and a so-so John Green book called An Abundance of Katherines.
Also, Tina Fey's memoir called Bossypants.
And, I'm still reading American Gods. There was one more book, but I suppose it was so uninteresting that I've forgotten about it already.
Mhm. Then this week I got John Green's newest book, The Fault in our Stars. It's about two kids with cancer finding love. It's a lot, lot, better than it sounds. It deconstructs a lot of the usual illness tropes. And, just like all of his novels, the two main characters are philosophers, while I can't even manage to tie my shoes.
Cereally.
Oh, and I listened to a bunch of podcasts. What were they, the BEST THING EVER? YEAH!
Sorry guys.

Re: Off Topic Generalities
You guys ever hear of City of Heroes? Its a super-hero (and villain!) based MMORPG that I've been playing for a long time (almost a year now) and everyone should try because its awesome. You can have tons of characters and the possibilities of powers is almost limitless. My current main character is a ninja-leading, time manipulating badass.
Yes, time traveling ninjas.
Anyhow, you should try it.

Oooooooo...
I shall check it out. But in roughly three weeks, when my life slows down and school starts. Yes, school. Three weeks from today.
But when school starts, I shall need all sorts of procrastination-ish activities!
