Re: Off Topic Generalities
Awh, honey. It's okay. Everyone sounds angsty every now and then. I do, a lot.
But look at it this way. No one could ever be so much of a loser as the Team Rocket trio. Some days, that fact is all that keeps me going. xD
Sorry your week was terrible. Mine was kinda, too. *sigh* I'm just ready for this semester to be over. When it is, I can start paying attention to getting my life back on track.

Re: Off Topic Generalities
GRARGH! I had written a paragraph about why 'angsty' isn't a word when I hit backspace and my browser went back a page! I HATE THAT!
*is angsty*
*berates self for using a non-word*
*is even more angsty*
It's unfortunate that you missed your field trip Zip

Re: Off Topic Generalities
If it's any consolation Zip, for the last month nothing has been able to hold my attention for longer than a few minutes. I want to do something, but I don't want to do anything, and it's absolutely infuriating!
I'll read a page of a book, then boot up a game only to shut it down, then read another page of a different book, then write half a sentence... and it continues like this...

How tiny is the kid you babysit? I have this extremely amusing mental image of you (er... my interpretation of you) talking to a clueless five-year-old about Wolverine's retractable bone-claws before they were metal coated.
My interpretation of you is a brunette. Do I win?
I get to see Avengers on Sunday It causes me physical pain to put it off so long, but I promised my friends I'd go with them! Darn social interaction! *isn't actually complaining, since being home and seeing friends is awesome*

Re: Off Topic Generalities
I only had time for Spiderman and Superman's origin stories (first on the top of my head, along with Magneto and Batman), but you are not far off the mark. He just turned five or six, I believe. And I was reading him a star wars book too, from the clone wars. He's obsessive over the clone war show and legos and whatnot.
I am, in fact, a brunette! And on occasion a redhead, but I am a natural brunette and a redhead just for fun, as I am still very fond of my natural color.
Your interpretation of me should be sitting on a couch with a bunch of lego and a small child, enthusiastically explaining radioactive spiders and the planet krypton.

Woohoo! I was correct!
I may be unable to post for a couple weeks, since I'm going to stay with my dad and he won't let me bring my laptop. He says I need to be less dependent on technology. I'm not tech-dependent, I just enjoy it!
I'll still have my phone, so I'll be able to post from there, but not as often or as long.
It's going to be a long two weeks...
I'll miss you all!

Re: Off Topic Generalities
As it turns out, I do have Internet after all! Huzzah!
Now I may be about three years late, but I have to admit: I've recently become really obsessed with Angry Birds. It all started because I wondered to myself, "Why are the Angry Birds so angry?" They're angry because the Bad Piggies stole their eggs! I then began to wonder what the Bad Piggies wanted with the eggs. It turns out that they're starving, and are just trying to get by. Poor piggies...
Now I'm wondering why the Bad Piggies don't just cook and eat the eggs instead of building hundreds of fortresses to protect them. Is the traditional recipe for piggy-style eggs that complicated? Am I overthinking things like I usually do? I just think that if the Piggies spent less time building shoddy fortresses and more time cooking, they wouldn't keep losing the eggs back to the Angry Birds.

High Command has prohibited the viewing of this title under the orders of Mother Brain.
Tee Fury! I've never bought a shirt online, but I do like looking at them. Some are cool!

Re: Off Topic Generalities
May Areada take a moment to scream loudly because she just finished two classes and only has one exam and one paper to go until sweet, sweet freedom for a weekend?
*insert scream here*
Thanks. Now I have to go write that paper, but I can SENSE victory waiting for me just around the corner...just...so...closee.......

Re: Off Topic Generalities
Exams and papers at the same time :O I feel lucky, since all my papers were due the week before exams.
Sweet freedom for a weekend? Does that mean you have even more exams next week? I do not envy you!

Re: Off Topic Generalities
No, a new class in the three-week interim session between spring semester and summer semester. *sigh* Three weeks of intensive classical mythology. It'll be interesting and totally my thing, at least. Then I'll really be done. For real. Until the end of August.
Re: Off Topic Generalities
Classical mythology! Sounds like fun! I took a classics course in high school. It's a wonderful mix of history and literature, and absolutely awesome! I scored top of my class and got a neat Oxford Companion to Classical Literature, which is basically a dictionary of classical terms. It's so useful when writing when I want some ideas, or to just open to a random page for fun!
Although, I have to admit it was a bird course so I'm not particularly proud of my accomplishment.

Re: Off Topic Generalities
I ADORE classical mythology. I'm such a mythology geek, actually. I could probably test past through this class like they let you with languages but that's not an option. xD The only hard part will be three and a half hours of lecture every day. I plan to stock up on snacks. Thank goodness for being able to eat and drink in most college classrooms...
Re: Off Topic Generalities
That's a lot of lectures! I hope they give you breaks instead of having one big lecture. One can only really focus for about an hour before needing a short break to digest thoughts and relax.

Re: Off Topic Generalities
So true. I'm sort of hoping there will be discussion sections or something, or even time to work on homework or something like that. But like I said, I'll stock up on snacks (coffee and trail mix bars and bagels and rice krispy treats nommmmm) and if they let me use a laptop, maybe keep this site up behind my word document of notes...

Congratulations!
How does that sweet freedom taste?
On second thought, that's a redundant question, isn't it?

Re: Off Topic Generalities
Congrats on freedom, then.
So I went to the hospital last night. On and off stomach pains since Saturday night.
I'm better now, though, so...whooo!
Had to miss school, though.
...And I'm not sure if I /had/ to miss school, really, or if I was just lazy. Meh.
Your lives, my wonderful anti-oxidants?
