I've been meaning to watch it, actually. Just been saving it, since it's just one movie, and not a series. Starting a series causes me to watch it compulsively, while a single movie with no sequels is perfect for when you don't want to get addicted to something.

I'm assuming you've seen Willow. Is it uncannily similar to The Canopy Elf?

And right up there with Willow are Star Wars (original trilogy) and The Lord of the Rings.

Now everyone knows what my taste in movies is like. xD

Serenity does not count because I count it as part of Firefly, which is on the tv shows list.

Willow is not really at all like the Canopy Elf. But it would be hilarious to try to figure out which characters are most like each other. xD

Aha! The Star Wars original trilogy are my favourite movies too xD Actually, I'm just a *HUGE* Star Wars fan, having read a lot of comics and books, and played a lot of the video games. It's my favourite fictional world! My favourite part of Star Wars may just be the Knights of the Old Republic comics (not the game, though it's amazing too). The adventures of Zayne Carrick, a failed Jedi Padawan, and his friends Marn Heirogryph (a Snivvian con artist), and Jarael (an Arkanian Offshoot warrior-thingy). Jarael is epic because she's one of the few main character non-Jedi to excel in melee combat with her electrostaff.

I have so many favorite movies it can be really difficult to pick. That list is as accurate as I am ever going to get at this point in time.

I fully expect and hope to add The Hobbit to the list.

I'm pretty pumped for the Hobbit. I'm happy to see Ian McKellen reprising his role as Gandalf! Nobody else could do it.

And nobody wants that mess of two totally different Dumbledores repeated. The second Dumbledore was a horrible Dumbledore. He was Dumbledon't.

Ooh, I didn't know Gollum was going to be the same! I haven't really been following the Hobbit very closely. That's awesome!

He's also directing the B units or something. It's quite cool.

I mean, could anyone else be Gollum? You've seen the trailer, right? Gollum at the end, such fantasticness...

I think I almost died several times over the course of that movie, just from holding my laughter in. It was cliché, borderline ridiculous at times, and absolutely brilliant!

I know! That's the beauty of it! It melds cliché, ridiculousness, some creepy bad guys, bad special effects, some dialogue that oughtn't to be funny, BUT IT IS.

Other dialogue is definitely intended to be funny.

It's like a half parody, half serious movie. And some of the parody parts come off more serious, and some of the serious parts come off more parody.

You know, funny story, I made a model of that two-headed dragon serpent monster thing in pottery class one time.

Accidental magic love dust scenes for the win.

I am extremely happy we moved to this forum. You see... MG has died. Completely and utterly, it seems. The off topic forums are locked, so we couldn't post on them any more, and it seems as if the Facebook games have vanished.

None of the staff are saying anything at all, it seems. Just quietly dismantling...

IP is still there, but the others have all gone.
