That said, I also believe that most people are actually good people, who want to be good to people -- only they sometimes have a hard time seeing people as people. And themselves, too.

I wish I could be a really good person. But where I live, there are a lot of homeless people, and every day I walk past them and try not to look them in the eye, because I know I should give but I lie to myself and mumble a little "I don't have anything", but that's because I don't try, and I try not to look as if I'm pretending they don't exists, and then I keep lying and say that I want to care, so I'm a good person...

I want to be a good person, but... I've never tried, and I'm scared of what it's like. I will someday, though. Someday I'm gonna stop being scared.

It's worth it. It's a crazy ride, emotionally -- ridiculous amounts of false denouements -- and it's got it's moments of sort-of-creepy awkwardness, as well as some real "why did they say that" moments, but...

It's kind of amusing actually. Mostly because it's obvious he was made director specifically because of his involvement with Star Trek. Because it's 'outrageous' to some fans of both franchises, it'll attract fans from both franchises. It's an advertising method. Good ol' Berneys still at work long after his death.

Well I did like the new star trek movie so I'm not complaining too terribly. I mean, his record with tv shows is up and down-he tends to have a good first few seasons and in the last few things get out of hand. But we'll see. Super 8 is a good movie.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but my perception of those guys is limited to the presumably fringe wing that certain people are damned from the start, and are only there to bring down the ones God chose from the beginning. I don't take you to be someone who subscribes to Fatalism.

First, I am so sorry I have been absent for so long. I have been having a very difficult time recently, with life, in part started by tragic events in December and then a series of wacky happenstances more recently that started awesome and turned into a lot of hard and difficult and unhappy stuff way too quickly. Not to mention school is a pain, my workload only increases, and I seem to be in a perpetual state of almost having a cold.

Second, I love and miss you all very much and am so sorry for neglecting you as my life got more insane than I ever thought it could. My creativity has been so very much gone for a while now and I don't know, it would be nice to do something sort of casual roleplay or writing related, if you all had the time/were willing/were interested. Even drafting out a plot for a story could be interesting, worldbuilding, etc.

Third, I intended to say this a few months ago, but was distracted by the painful things that life tends to shove at you and then say 'okay now deal with it'. You may all, if interested, friend me on facebook. : ) Just send me a message and I'll give you the link. Just like...be prepared. xD You may not expect what you find. Or on the other hand, it may be exactly what you expected. Who knows? And like, you're all more than welcome to post things about Spiced Toast and roleplaying and geekery on my wall and stuff, it totally doesn't have to be one of those 'just awkward facebook friends' things or anything. But yeah.

Yes life is catching up. I despise being a heavy science major, pidgeon holed into specific schedules each quarter. Thank ze Lord that I have great professors to keep my mind interested. However, I believe every person needs a break from his/her studies.

I probably will start a solo role-play of some sorts. Solo in the sense as I will not have a defined plot. I think the reason why role-playing is fun is because you do not know how the other people are going to react to your post. It's as if multiple minds are creating a story. Obviously, as one person, I cannot stimulate myself into that kind of mind-set, I'll probably suffer from multi-personality disorder. However, it will stay consistent with me posting on the whim.

I reckon you guys could join, but I would be actively posting, imagine once a night or so, to blow off steam and stress - I lost weight due to stress, >_>. But, if not, or you believe I am selfish, because I think I may be, you are happy to just read what happens to character_future_name.

YAY STAR TREK MOVIE!

Life....*dies* My list of stuff I have to do over the next three or four weeks keeps growing. All the really stressful stuff doesn't change, but there are a million little easy things as well, but stuff I still have to prepare for. I mean, I have at least one big music thing the next three weekends, and then I have Richard II performances that I'm not at all ready for, starting in just about three weeks. I sense seam ripping and laser tag in my future, just for the stress-relief.

Mhm, that sounds interesting, the concept of a "solo roleplay". In my head I picture each of us coming up with a character and writing their story in a separate thread. Except all of our characters inhabit the same world, so we could, like, drop-in and out.


They wouldn't necessarily take place at the same time, and there wouldn't be a particular need for it all to make sense, buuuutttt...ahh.

I've been pretty busy too, but probably not as busy as you guys. Also, I just really haven't had the roleplay spark for a while.

Anyways, I've been playing mafia on reddit and that reminded me of that mafia game that we played a reaaaaaaaaaaaaallly long time ago on the Twin Skies forums. I think it was Werewolf Mafia or something like that.

I know a pretty good 6 player setup we could do, but I'm not sure if we have enough people for that. I'll host, but I would need 6 people that are interested.

Although, truthfully, we are all probably too busy for that kind of stuff, so it might just be best to keep things as they are with our mostly random discussions.

I dunno, what do you guys wanna do? The solo roleplay thing might be nice.

I'm interested in getting back in the game, but I'm caught smack in the middle of exam season right now. Finished my Canadian Law term paper last night, which was a huge breath of relief, but now comes the crazy part. Prof Muttart is one of those crazy profs who expects students to write three well-thought-out essays in an hour. His exams are a waking nightmare! Lots of studying to do >_<

But Werewolf Mafia can totally happen sometime this summer, if everyone isn't crazy busy.
