You know, as ridiculous as it sounds, a tiny part of me was hoping yesterday would be the Apocalypse. Not that I ever bought into any of the 2012 stigma. But still, it would have been something to tell the grandkids about.

I'm really sorry I haven't been around a lot, it's been a tough month (although I would just like to say if I may brag a little that despite everything, I got amazing grades...) But I love you all a lot and hope to be around more over break and in the next semester because, well, only eleven credits next semester! YAY.

Fireworks for me!!

I did not blow any fireworks out, but I had a Portal cake. A cake like the one from portal. My friend even sang me part of the still alive song at one point.

I forgot to make any wishes. *sigh* I was very busy with Lord of the Rings. It is intense, you know. A great cry of triumph went up when Eowyn slew the Witch-King of Angmar. It was exciting.

I find those types of 'charity' things highly amusing. The people who participate aren't actually helping anybody. Google's doing all the charity work, and the hapless dopes who click buttons are just... clicking buttons. In the end, all this really accomplishes is making Westerners feel a little better about themselves, and improving Google's image in the public eye. Good stuff is done, of course, but its proportionately minuscule. It's basically Google's version of the Ronald McDonald House.

I'm a Hobbsian. I can't help it. People are nasty, cruel creatures that care only for self-actualization. I pray to God I'm wrong, but I've never seen anything to convince me otherwise.
